If you think your job should not be valued at 4.8% below inflation and you are worth more, now is your opportunity to demand that President Bruininks and the administration stop rewarding the upper level management with huge windfalls and start doing the right thing by paying the front line staff a living wage.

On Wednesday, June 27 the Regents will approve the University's operating budget for 2007 to 2008. At noon U of M AFSCME is standing together for a rally and lunch outside the Gateway Building. We are putting the Regents on notice that everyone deserves to make economic progress—not just the people at the top.
Today, May 31, the union negotiating team had our first negotiating session with management. Details will be posted here soon.
