"The contract" is the agreement between the union and the employer that
determines our wages, health care and other benefits, and work rules.
The contract for clerical workers at the U ("Unit 6") is negotiated
every two years between a negotiating committee of rank and file
clerical workers that we elect, and a management-appointed committee.

The current contract runs from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2009.
